Ipe Camp Knife
Designed for chopping firewood, clearing brush, and building shelter, this camp knife will be a real workhorse for the serious outdoorsman. The hefty spine (over 1/4" thick) gives the blade extra weight and rigidity for chopping and prying tasks. I have personally tested this knife in a number of different tasks, and I can attest that it is a blast to use.
The blade was forged from S7 tool steel, which was specifically designed for toughness and shock resistance. The tang of the blade extends all the way through the handle and is fastened with a nut at the back for maximum strength. The handle was shaped from durable ipe wood, which was salvaged from an old New York City park bench. The facets and contours of the handle add visual interest and improve grip while remaining comfortable to hold even for hours of chopping.
This camp knife comes with a hand-stiched vegetable-tanned leather sheath with brass hardware so you can strap it to your belt for your next adventure.
